Met Holiday Monday: Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
Families (youngsters ages five through twelve and accompanying adults) are invited to explore the Museum through an hour of stimulating discussion and sketching of its masterpieces as part the programs offered on January 19 for Met Holiday Monday. Programs are free with Museum admission. The Main Building—including its galleries and shops—will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Please note that the public restaurants in the Main Building will be open for lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Beyond Babylon

A Month of Sundays: Winter-Spring 2009
"A Month of Sundays" is a new series of classes for children ages six through twelve (and their adult companions) that encourages curiosity about art. Starting in January, each month's four-session course will cover one specific period of time in art history, such as: Ancient Mythology; The Art of the Pharaohs; The Time of Knights; and Vincent van Gogh. A fee is required for these classes and participation is limited to twenty-four participants. See the calendar for more information, including rates and registration.
